Skateboarders are watching

Meanwhile, American skateboarders are also finding new places to practice by exploiting the home foreclosure crisis to make use of abandoned swimming pools. Continuing a tradition of pool skating (this is one way Tony Hawk started out), skaters are using property websites and Google Maps to track abandoned properties in areas like Fresno, California.

Once a new site has been hunted down, the skateboarders use a gas-powered pump to drain the pools, revealing smooth, contoured bowls perfect for practising aerial tricks. Although the skateboarders are taking a risk by breaking trespassing laws it has also been argued that they are providing a service by draining otherwise stagnant pools.

Hows the view from your pool? This one sure is'nt going to be bad... We're currently mid construction on the cliffs over looking Pollperro harbour... From the finished swimming pool and spa the views should stretch from the pictureque village to the big blue atlantic horizon...

Building, Pool and Spa

There was an existing outdoor tiled pool on the property, which we built the pool building over, converted to a liner pool and built in a spa.
It fitted nicely with property and gave a great place to exercise year round or relax and enjoy a breath taking view of the Dart River
